• Must hold a Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign Going Ship issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India or equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India.

Experience

• One year post-qualification experience as Master/Chief Officer of a foreign going ship.

Nationality

• Citizen of India or subject of Nepal/Bhutan or Tibetan refugee (pre-1962) or person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with intent to settle permanently in India.

• Certificate of eligibility required for non-Indian citizens.

Medical Fitness

• Must be medically fit as per standards prescribed by Deendayal Port Authority.
