• Residents under Kolkata Police jurisdiction area will be preferred.

Educational Qualification

• Minimum qualification: Class VIII passed from a recognized school.

Technical Qualification

• Must possess a valid Four-Wheeler Driving License.

Experience

• Minimum 02 years driving experience in any:

  • Government Organization, or

  • Quasi Government Organization, or

  • Registered Pvt. Ltd. Company.

Selection Process

The WB Directorate of Security Recruitment 2026 selection will be conducted through the following stages:

1. Shortlisting of Candidates

   • Based on educational qualification and driving experience if applications are high.

2. Driving Test

   • Total Marks: 20

3. Interview

   • Total Marks: 20

4. Medical Examination

   • Conducted at Kolkata Police Hospital.

5. Character & Antecedent Verification

   • Police Clearance Certificate required through WB Police PCC Portal at joining.

• Professional Tax (PTax) and Income Tax (IT) will be deducted as per government norms.

How to Apply Online (Offline Application Process)

Candidates must apply offline as no online application facility is available.

1. Visit the West Bengal Police official website and download the prescribed application format.

2. Print the form on A4 size white paper.

3. Paste a recent passport size photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm) on the top right corner and self-attest it.

4. Fill the application form carefully with correct details.

5. Attach self-attested copies of required documents.

6. Place the completed application form inside an envelope.

7. Superscribe the envelope as:
