Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has officially released the admission schedule for the academic session 2026-27. The online registration for Balvatika and Class 1 begins from March 20, 2026, while admissions for higher classes will be conducted offline in April.

Application Process

Online (Balvatika & Class 1)

  1. Visit the official KVS admission portal

  2. Click on “New Registration”

  3. Fill in student and parent details

  4. Upload required documents

  5. Select preferred Kendriya Vidyalaya

  6. Submit the form and take printout

Offline (Class II to IX & XI)

  • Collect form from KV website or school

  • Fill and submit at respective KV

  • Applicable only if seats are vacant


Selection Process

  • Class 1 & Balvatika:

    • Lottery system (Draw of Lots)

    • Based on reservation and priority categories

  • Class IX:

    • Admission test

    • Subjects: Hindi, English, Maths, Science, Social Science

    • Total Marks: 100

    • Qualifying Marks:

      • General: 33%

      • SC/ST/CwSN: 25%

  • Class XI:

    • Based on Class X (CBSE) merit

  • Classes: Balvatika to Class XII

  • Streams in Class XI: Science, Commerce, Humanities

  • Medium & duration: As per official notification

  • CwSN (3%) – Horizontal reservation


Important Instructions for Candidates
